I just picked up an '86 Savage with about 4500 miles on it.
The bike looks like it was dropped once on the left hand side as there are soem scrapes here and there.
Anyway, for the original poster, I to have a leak on this bike, it does appear to be comeing from the cylinder some wehre and am hesitant right now about investigating it more. My leak drips on the ground, not that much, but the biggest worry I have is the oil burning off the fins as it produces some smoke.
Anyone else have this issue and what did you do about it?
I was thinking it was either the head gasket, or perhaps another gasket soemwhere else?
